Key areas of expertise:

Assessment: This area is a real passion of mine and I find the amount of information that you can gain from a piece of data incredible. I have introduced a new whole school assessment system and have supported staff with external moderations. In the past I was also a KS1 moderator for the borough and I thoroughly enjoyed supporting other schools, ensuring we all shared and gained new ideas and initiatives throughout the process.

Mentoring NQT’s: I am able to work closely, supporting and coaching newer members of staff into becoming outstanding practitioners. I have also supported this group of staff through Ofsted inspections.

KS1 and KS2 SATS: Most of my career has been spent teaching either Year 2 or Year 6 and I feel very confident in supporting teams to ensure pupils achieve their full potential as well as ensuring that the access arrangements guidance is adhered to in both key stages when delivering the SATs tests.

Designated Safeguarding Lead: I am passionate about pupil safety both in and out of the school environment ensuring robust systems are set up and followed. Working closely alongside and line managing the learning mentors, leading regular meetings with internal and external professionals, I am able to ensure all pupils are given the best protection and support when needed.

ITT lead: I support the students through regular dialogue and observations and also line manage the SBE.
Working in an outstanding school, I have high expectations of myself, staff and pupils, which allows all stakeholders to produce the best possible education for our pupils and as a member of an outstanding leadership team I am keen to share this ethos with others through the sharing of my practice inside and outside of the classroom.
